Contact and procedures for data protection rights in Germany and Türkiye.

Contacting the controller

The controller is THE BARK, Vedat EGE, Helmholtzstr. 173, 46045 Oberhausen, Germany. Send privacy requests to info@the-bark.de or to this postal address. We currently have no branch or representative in Türkiye. Describe the processing concerned and your request. Do not send passwords, payment details or unsolicited complete copies of identity documents. Any necessary identity verification is handled individually.

GDPR rights

Subject to Articles 15–22 GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability. You may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) on grounds relating to your particular situation, and to direct marketing at any time. Consent may be withdrawn for future processing. Requests are normally answered within one month; any legally permitted extension is explained.

KVKK rights

Where Turkish Law No. 6698 applies, Article 11 allows you to learn whether and why your data is processed, obtain information, learn domestic or foreign recipients, request correction or deletion and notification of recipients about those changes. You may also object to adverse outcomes from exclusively automated analysis and seek compensation for unlawful processing. Article 13 requests are generally handled free of charge within 30 days; legally permitted charges remain possible.

Supervisory authorities

Under Article 77 GDPR you may complain to a data protection authority, particularly the North Rhine-Westphalia Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. Under the KVKK procedure, first apply to the controller; rejection, an inadequate answer or failure to respond may be challenged before the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board within Article 14 deadlines. This website does not make exclusively automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
